Would probably be much easier and far more representative to take the top rated games by platform/genre and work with those instead of going entirely off the relatively small survey audience of this forum. Metacritic lets you sort games by aggregated review scores, so you can get all the top games for a given platform from there.

Remember that there are factors outside the games themselves that can make a game enjoyable or not, in particular, the communities associated with them.
