Are there going to be any catagories for 100% (All scrolls, and probably all upgrades?) or New Game + (Using A file that already has all upgrades?)
I don't think grinding up money to buy upgrades would make for a fun run, all scrolls sounds like a much more pleasant running experience
NG+ would more convenient to run as you wouldn't be deleting your save file between runs.
Personally I'd say NG+ would make the most sense as Starting timing when you enter Octotrooper Hideout and ending at the same place any% does

Yea I think IL would be nice. Are ILs though always NG+ or always NG? Because it's hard to tell where you would upgrade for what ILs so I assume they're just NG+ always?
Yeah 100% upgrades would be boring, but I just wanted to throw ideas around, thanks for adding NG+ though! I plan to do a run when I get home :D
So I realized. By the current definition of NG+ up there you don't have to do any level but the last boss. Time enters when you enter first area (I assume you mean when you enter the campaign area from the plaza otherwise it would literally be a last boss IL) And then you can just warp to the last boss and beat him. Sooooooo. I dunno if we should change it to NG+ Any% is Misc and NG+ All Levels Is the main?
And for NG+ I really think you should start time upon entering from the Plaza. It makes a lot more sense IMO than entering the first level you're going to do.
Also if we do NG+ all levels. Then it literally doesn't matter what order you do the levels in as long as you do them all.
I think a run like that, only doing the last boss would be dumb, when i asked about NG+ i meant doing all the levels lol
Yea, I agree it would be dumb, it's just the way it's worded basically allows you to do that. Which is why I was thinking just make the main NG+ category NG+ All Levels.
And all it is, is beating all the levels (In whatever order) Then beating the boss. Or you could even make it all zapfish and just end timing on grabbing the final zapfish. And not have level order count at all lel. Start off with the last boss grind for good last boss rng then do every other level or something silly like that.
Also random note about Scrolls having all Upgrades allowed. It's effectively a NG+ Category then. But if you have collected the Scroll before you can't collect it again, the box is just filled with red orbs. Meaning you would need to make a new account. Get all upgrades without getting scrolls. Then do the run and get the scroll. Which would be a huuuuuuuuge pain. I suggest making it a NG category.

Thanks for the catch on the IL scrolls rule, that's how I meant to do it but I must have just spaced out when I was adding them all at once. NG+ scrolls would be silly
