so, any% seems to be fine for the most part except you have to grind a level a few times to stock up on items before doing an actual run, if you quit before finishing you revert the items you got to what you had at the start of the level. if you finish the level, you lose everything you used during the run, meaning you have to grind for gear once again, very tedious!
i found a solution, that almost entirely forgoes that annoying grind every time you finish a run.
the save game data is stored (by default) in: C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\ChexHD\Saved\SaveGames
simply do the grind to get the items you want once, and then copy the corresponding save game data (SinglePlayerData) somewhere else to be pasted back in when you want to "reset" the save game back to the desired state i.e. max ammo or HP etc.
other than just saying this is possible, im wondering if this would be allowed? i assume in a future somewhere that there will be pre-made save games that runners can download to get a consistent experience amongst other runners, possibly even having categories of their own? who knows
i will not use this method until a reply has been posted stating if it is allowed or not
Considering other speed games have approved NewGame+ save states, I think that's fair as long as there is a distinction of NewGame+ in the run.
Also, you can use the environment variable of %localappdata%
to quickly get to the C:\Users\{USERNAME}\AppData\Local
location.
The full path can be shortened to %localappdata%\ChexHD\Saved\SaveGames\
with the secrets on storage facility, ive found that i can get 200 health and full ammo on the starting guns. Single/gat Shotgun Machine.
