Right now, we're still getting people prepping saves as well as routing and figuring out NG+ before doing anything to the boards. I believe that - never. Cause there is no runners (of course there is no runners if there is no category to run) and there is no runs (forget about my made for proving that ng+ can be a category) AND there are more POPULAR categories like 2-3-4 players and ALL runners run them so there is no need to create 'forever empty board NG+'.

heheheh~ but only me that current speedrunning DL2 NG+ rn (also another categories) "and it's funny to speedrun that NG+ XD" and i highly need that category q(≧▽≦q) (also another categories too)
Yeah it's been over a year now, and unfortunately the scene for speedrunning DL2 has mostly died. We add categories if they're popular enough, but right now we're afraid that adding more categories in this state means that we'll have more empty categories.

KidzoCatto, do you do runs with no category? Or you wanna invest your time into smth that already exist? I invested time to NG+ runs thanks to mods and want it back now.
There are lots of examples of empty for month NG+ board not attracting new players (they even won't run NG) so this is all rely on mods, but here they don't care at all.
@Purr about non-category: yup, i do it a lot of it (w/ difference patch). but that's depend to mods if NG+ is necessary to add it or not? (even if someone not me doing NG+ or Non-Category, they may not add some category or leave it like that)

We've had numerous instances with the DL1 leaderboards where players have asked for a category, only for no one to run it once the category was added. And in some instances only one person runs the category, where there's zero competition and only 1 run on the board. This is why we do not add categories until people actually start running them.
Coop categories are simply sub-categories of the already existing Any% / Warpless categories. That's why they're there.
If you have NG+ runs to submit, send them over either to me, or join the DL speedrunning Discord server (https://discord.gg/USEdqYZ) and we can talk about adding it there. If there are at least two active runners with runs, then we may be able to add it.

Hello everyone. I've been following the DL2 speedrunner community since the game's release. Since such conversations have already started, I myself would not mind running to NG+. Even though none of my speedrans are here
I already have a run for NG+. I came here to submit my time, and there wasn’t a category. Not only would I run NG+ if it was added, I already have a run.
