There seems to be some interest in this category so here is a detailed post with everything known so far. Shenmue II has a total of 27 Achievements on Steam/Xbox or 28 Trophies (Extra is the Platinum Trophy) on PS4. These are consistent across all platforms of the game and add several interesting changes from current categories on the leaderboard such as playing all arcade games, learning 15 combat skills and winning 5 arm wrestling matches etc.

Essentially how this would work (and is working in other communities like Dark Souls) is that you would start a New Game and obtain all of the Achievements / Trophies in one sitting, splitting when you obtain them all.

With this in mind, I have been working for the last week or so on routing this category and what the best path to achieve this might be. Obviously, once you obtain an Achievement/Trophy you can not obtain it again on the same profile, but we have several options available to work around this and to guarantee that runs can be validated.

For PC/Steam - The Windows application Steam Achievement Manager by gibbed can be used to remove already acquired achievements on your Steam profile, making them obtainable again.

Download - https://github.com/gibbed/SteamAchievementManager/releases/download/7.0.16/SteamAchievementManager-7.0.16.zip Guide - https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=414461578

For Console - You can create a new user profile to regain Achievements/Trophies that you have already obtained

Every category needs rules - Personally, I think we should not allow any runs without visible progression to show that all of them have been obtained (This involves capturing the game in Window mode instead of game mode with OBS if running on PC). While this can be a pain I would prefer this as it would be the most accurate.

Of course, we are a community and everything is up for debate.

For example, while running on console versions you can obtain Achievements/Trophies on an unpatched game (v1.0/v1.01) etc. But on PC/Steam you have to download an unpatched version and replace your patched game files in the steam directory to achieve the same result, which may be questionable.

That's all I have for now. Feedback is welcome and appreciated

When should timing end? Is it on putting the Phoenix Mirror in the pedestal as normal, or is it on the Achievement/Trophy actually appearing?

For the PS4 version, is it required to also wait for the Platinum trophy to appear?

For now, I'll assume we're waiting until the final Achievement/Trophy (not counting Platinum) appears before ending the timer.

That is what I was thinking. After you inset the mirror the achievement/trophy does not appear for another 3 minutes and 20ish seconds after Shenhua's poem.

While this time doesn't add anything to the category it feels silly to end timing before you are actually credited with the last one even though there is no future inputs doesn't seem right. But again, just my opinion.

Thanks for adding the categories to the leaderboards!

I'm sure because it's already written in the rules but I'd like to just say to enforce NG only and ban NG+ for this category. From what I understand, you can't share saves between profiles on console but it would be very easy to use an already completed save for NG+ for PC. Makes it a little unfair between the platforms so best to keep it consistent.

It's not written in the rules, but I agree - generally speaking on any game or run that uses a save file, that save file has to be able to be obtained legitimately (even if it wasn't actually done so). If you were to legitimately complete the game to get a NG+ file, you'd already have earned some Achievements (as some are unavoidable); as a result, it's impossible to do an All Achievements run after earning a legitimate NG+ save file, so All Achievements should be NG-only.

I'll add it to the rules.
