I have a sucky recorder that makes my runs terrible and will never be submitted. But when I look on the leaderboards a couple people have a submitted run WITHOUT video proof. Can someone tell me how they do that?

If the game doesn't require video proof then you should be able to submit your run without a video link.

If the game does require video proof then you need to have a video of the run, and any existing runs without video proof were likely added before that requirement was put in place.
