just to clarify, the only way known previously to crash not just safari but the whole PHONE was to overload the device's ram by pushing a string too large to hold into the access bar cache (, this is slightly old but its the first instance of it that comes to mind lol). somehow, elo has replicated that with ads. KEKW

Elo CTO here. Sorry for the bad experience you had - we do our best to limit bad ads and are making progress in this area but they still sneak in every now and then. I can promise you that we're making constant improvements to ad delivery and are working hard to minimize these types of issues.

I hear your frustration, but want to clarify something: the folks who are working day and night to improve speedrun (myself being one of them at the moment - lots of refactoring today!) are separate from the team working to improve the ad experience - it's not one or the other, we're working on both every single day.
