Is it okay to request games that have been anounced but haven't yet released? Or will they be instantly rejected by mods?

I think there will be rejected, that happened to a few games as I think I've understood in the forums, wait the game to be released.

Last time i saw this topic mentioned the response was wait until 1 week until release, then request it.

1 week before is what I've been allowing for most games. I'll usually give it in advance if the user has runs of other games on that console/series. You should fully intend to buy and run the game if you're requesting it in advance.

Less active users requesting games in advance with no run available I usually reject. I try to make sure really popular games requested in advance go to highly active users. It's subjective obviously, and not always the most consistent (because a few of us handle the game requests, and this stuff hasn't been written down).

A lot of games submitted before their release were empty during a long time until some people asks for moderation requests so I guess allowing games before their release would be really hard works for keeping it updated and stuffs. So I think what kirkq did is cool.
