Is it a standard procedure to reject game requests without a reason now?

Firstly, you're assuming that people don't get reasons for rejections. The real answer ends up being those people got reasons and just refused to read them. This has been true for the past half-dozen threads that were created for this reason.

Secondly, judging by the page you linked, it doesn't seem to be much of a game, so that is likely the rejection reason. I'm not site staff, so I don't know personally, but I'd imagine that's the reason for it. Perhaps (and this is also a common theme) it has been submitted multiple times and rejected multiple times (this often is by the same person to boot) and site staff has run out of patience for the game and is just a reject on sight.

Yet another thread on the pile where one of site staff will end up replying instead of focusing on what they could be doing :(

As Habreno said, its not much of a game at all much alone a speedrun. It has been submitted a couple times, those were given reasons though eventually I personally gave up providing reasons. The content speaks for itself but that doesn't mean that just because its a meme doesn't mean it doesn't get to be held up by the quality standard too.

If you've seen all the threads, you should know pretty fast why eventually we end up giving up on providing reasons. Because either way, it stops no one from complaining or making a thread or resubmitting.

I'm alright with these reasons, and I probably wouldn't have made a thread about it if I get a short reason like 'We rejected this game many times since it doesn't match our standards.' It's just one sentence that would make these things clear. I'm not entitled to suggest how to run the game moderation but it would be a bit helpful for the mods and for the users who submit games.

I never made a game request before, how would I know if someone already submitted one but got rejected? I'm not a psychic. I didn't mean to troll or spam.

Either way, thanks for making things clear... somehow.

You don't because why would anyone be able to see a previous reject from another user? That potentially causes more people to further create more threads and even humiliate people. You are coming off passive-aggressive honestly. We've given short reasons before and let me tell you people still fight over it, whose to say you wouldn't either? You said you've seen the many threads, I'm sure you should be quite aware.

Without a doubt there could still be improvements, but for this games case, its very obvious that this is not something worth accepting (let alone getting worked up over).

I'm just trying to understand why a simple reason can't be written as a rejection, compared to no reason. I understand now from mod side but I'm just trying to give my idea from my side. I was given no reason, to me it came off as ill-mannered, I was disappointed and I had to make a post about it.. even though I did not want to. I understand the amount of work the moderation team gets from these submissions, but to me this small step would have helped to understand more about the whole procedure and situation. That's all. Honestly, I'm totally fine with the reasoning behind the rejection now, but since I was given no reason I was just a bit confused.

Sorry if I came across as passive-aggressive, I just felt like this is a thing that can be improved generally but that's just my point of view.

The answer was given; It has been submitted a couple times, those were given reasons though eventually I personally gave up providing reasons.

Just to add onto this, I remember a guy who literally resubmitted nearly 10 times for some web game. He would not listen to anything we had to say and we stopped giving him reasons but people can always resubmit...it never ends. I'm not trying to blame the users here, but some of it does come from them. People sometimes also just resubmit without even changing their notes or messages in hopes we'll just blindly accept it. Don't get me started with people who actually want to argue through the submissions itself! Some people even bring up the most ridiculous points just to get a game that clearly doesn't quality as a speedrun accepted onto the site. There's also people who literally never bother reading the guidelines too. You get people who literally argue to death about "THIS GAME EXISTS THOUGH!"....yeah before all the guidelines and quality improvements.

It goes on and on, I try, we all try. Since I handled this game, I felt the game spoke for itself as to why it shouldn't even qualify as a speedrun...let alone a game.

I could almost call this thread bait, but I decided to give you an straight forward honest response and I understand how you feel. Though I still firmly believe most of this wasn't warranted and you could've contacted us in other ways through the "About" page to find a list of staff members.

Understandable and thanks for the explanation. Didn't mean to shine a light badly on any of you I just didn't get the reasoning behind well.. no reason for the rejection. But I get it now and yeah these things can be annoying.

I have nothing to add and if you feel like you can delete the thread, or I myself can delete it later since it is no longer relevant.

Thanks for the answer, I accept the decision.
