It would be great if we can get an autosplitter for this game. Does anyone know anyone who can do it? I would help pay for the person who uses their time to make it.
If someone can find the relevant memory addresses to identify things like whether or not cutscenes are playing, I know enough about autosplitters that I could cook one up.
Or maybe use some way to track when the savefile in the folder changes? It should be possible to read chapter and current location info from savefiles as well.
That is possible but it would be significantly more difficult and take much more time to implement. This game's save file data is tricky to decipher, since almost all the data is in a binary format and doesn't have any obvious identifiers. With enough time it could be deciphered but it would take a lot of trial and error. Also, it would be harder to integrate something that reads the save data into LiveSplit since it would have to be a fully-fledged component, whereas doing it based on memory addresses can be done with a simple script.
Moving forward we will be implementing a blacklist for users who violate the rules, people on this list will not be allowed to submit runs to our leaderboards. Anyone on the list will be contacted and be made aware of that, otherwise the list will remain anonymous. We won't retroactively delete runs
