No, there are two versions of N64. One has the basement clip and the other doesn't. It's not an emulator only glitch. People have confirmed that it works on console. We just play on emu because there's no way to tell which version the cartridge is.

I don't know where this idea of the basement clip being emu exclusive came from. It's been tested and confirmed on retail n64, but it's version exclusive, so not every N64 cart will do the clip. Just run the game however you want.

Like certain release. The "1.0" version of the game can do the clip on retail N64.
