Stat Boosters

We all know about stat boosters in guest star, it was fun to run around and boost your speed, power, and health! But i've been wondering... Are stat boosters REALLY worth it? So i started testing, we all know the effects of health, but what about speed and power?

For power i got the set ammount of power-ups i needed and then got rid of my fire sword, got hit again to make sure there was no beam sword, and gave Dedede a smack.

Here are the results on my random twitter page: 0: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DfYX93AU0AAMrb2.jpg 1: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DfYYBpOU8AAEOYU.jpg 2: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DfYYFr8VQAAJVUk.jpg 3: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DfYYLF9UcAAlcCh.jpg 4: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DfYYQy7UEAAXKFc.jpg 5: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DfYYUnXVQAEzO_6.jpg

The biggest differences were 0-1 and 4-5 and 3-4 being the least difference from what i can tell.

Now for speed. For speed i got the power-ups i needed and then ran from one pillar to another in Dedede's castle. Here are the results for speed:

It was kinda hard to tell what the differences were, let me know if any of you guys can check it out cause i don't know really.

Oh boyo, this was a bit of work, took 12 attemps and 3 fails. So whats the verdict? For power, i'd say its worth going out of your way to waste a couple seconds. 2 or 3 is good. For speed, probably the same, but i cant tell for sure, once again, i'd like to see if anyone can help check. But 2 or 3 seems good too. As for health.. Yeah, pick up a few. If you having problems staying alive in the later game then you can go out of your way, it's not like you have to be perfect or anything. Hope this helped <3

This depends a lot also on how far in the section you are, if you’re in the beginning to middle, it’s definitely worth getting speed if it takes just a few seconds, for power, it’s worth a few seconds if you’re in the beginning and there is a lot of bosses (best example I can think of is in section 3(?), where you can grab a Waddle Doo to electrify a plug to give you a power booster, takes a few seconds but imo it’s worth it)

The thing with speed is that it only increases movement not attacks. MK's running speed is faster but his Shuttle Loop is the same. For the timings of speed ups, We need to consider Walking, Running, Sliding and flying (With fast characters like Birdon). I want all these timings to add to my pastebin. I'm not sure when I'll test it (I don't trust others to do the sliding accurately)

As for Health I try my best to avoid them for the most part.

Interesting, but it certainly is valuable for the stage with all the water (or multiple stages I don’t remember). How do you know though that speed doesn’t boost Shuttle Loop, I mean, Invincible Candy also boosts your speed but it still boosts your Shuttle Loop. As for health I usually grab it if I see it because it is usually useful for me to get a free heal.

Because I've timed it, and it's the same every time

As another note, I think Invincible Candy doesn't' stack with Speed Boosts

Running with a candy with level 1 speed has the same speed as candy with level 5 speed

Interesting, so I guess it replaces speed boosts and acts as a movement speed boost and damage boost for all movement and attacks.

I timed how much speed upgrades you. It seems that level 1 is def worth it but the others aren't so much (Especially Level 5)

Edit: I retimed it
