Invisibility glitch

Hello guys, I found a glitch which changes the whole way the speedrun is done and braking the game down to ~1 hour run time. The glitch causes that a creature in the symbiosis spell is invisibile to the enemies and won't be effected by traps. The glitch works as followed: cast the symbiosis spell on a sleeping creature. Thats it. I also uploaded a short demonstration of the glitch here: . Do we want to use this glitch and make it on the one hand inpossible for the old runs to stay at their position. (expecially the first place) but on the other hand we can push the game to the limit and get super sonic speed runs?

(Glitch was tested on the GOG version of the game (Patch 1.7))

It's not impossible for old runs to stay at their position, new strats and glitches are discovered frequently for video games and retired scores are pushed further down. My submission is "no possession" but I did that as a challenge to see how fast it could go.

Personally this discovery makes the speedrun considerably more consistent and it would be interesting to see what top times could emerge.

Especially if you dared to interfere with the sleep of a dreaming mistress.

At first I was sceptical, but now I think that this is beautiful! I'm still impressed and surprised that people can randomly find out stuff like this, I wonder what glitchy gems are still hidden in this game for speedrunning! Thanks for sharing oberdulli :)

Even though the number of people speedrunning DK2 is limited, this might be a good opportunity to separate the runs into two categories: either "with possession glitch / without possession glitch" or maybe even "with possession / without possession". What do you guys think about this?

Ok I tested it a bit more now and found out that hidden traps like freeztraps or gastraps will let the enemy detect you.

United Kingdom

There's also some detection problems on level15b "Storm". If you can get into the keep and land a hit on the LOTL a voiceover will start which instructs the LOTL to go and kill you. The moment the voiceover finishes you are detected.
