What if for console they would pause as soon as they load the save to show the IGT and then at the end of the run just subtract the start IGT to get a time?

I was thinking the same thing. Would have to show inventory.

Why not just let console runners make a save at the statation and pause(to show IGT) when they start the run? Its a "meme" category anyways, right? Worse case you still count their final IGT for the leaderboard and best case you substract that starting IGT to their ending IGT.

If in console we can start from the typewriter with 5 minutes igt and in the end of the game when we see the final igt you substract the 5 minutes and the time that gives you is your no intro run

As it is. I would say no. If we get an in game option to skip ahead then sure. But as the game is, no.
