Wow, I was so tired when I uploaded this. Went right to bed. Aaaaaannyyyyway..... So here's the story.
I've been looking for a game to speedrun for some time now, and Moo1 was always near the top of the list. In fact, I think as early as the 10th episode of The Superjacob Show was a Small Galaxy, Impossible Difficulty, 5 enemy attempt. I've never felt 'satisfied' with the speedruns of Moo1 which use simple difficulty, the election mechanic, and ignore conquering Orion. When I played the game growing up, it was always about total domination of the entire galaxy, and anything less feel's 'unfinished' to me. Since I hadn't seen any such 100% runs, I decided to give it a shot last month. Since then I've been playing off and on in my spare time. I had a few off-camera untimed successes, modified my strategy, and started filming attempts. Last night I was lucky enough to have the run come together, and I finished in just over 3 hours.
This run can be done MUCH quicker. I would love to see some members of the community tear this record apart, so I challenge you to beat my time.
Here are the rules:
- Must research all Tech trees up to "advanced tech 1" level. You don't have to research the advance techs, just everything else available.
- Must conquer/colonize all planets including Orion.
- Obviously no election victory, military victory only.
- No saves. (continue game function is allowed)
- Impossible Difficulty, 5 opponents, any galaxy size(small is probably the fastest option, but you can try larger if you want)
- Obviously no cheats/hacks/glitches/bugs etc.
I know that I can get my time down to 2 hours if I keep at it. I'm not sure I will though, unless someone beats my time.

Just finished a run as Klackon, didn't go 100% because I was already over time at 3:45, but at least I know my strategy works with a race other than Psilon. Psilon has got to be the fastest though, considering I'm going for full tech trees. I'm figuring out how to work against the RNG in this game... Didn't even need a continue this time.
WOW. I just finished a run in 1h 37m 38s is klackons! GREAT rng for starting races and planets. Uploading it now! WOOO. I don't think I'll try again for anything faster unless someone beats my time. My next goal is to see what I can do with Mrrshon or Alkari one of the slower races.
