FF6 - Advanced Knowledge / Glitching, but not speedrunning questions

Hello,

Man I feel like this is MAYBE the second time in my life I am going to talk about this and not be assumed to be a liar or 100% stupid.

I played FF6 for the first time in 1995, and if I had to estimate I have atleast 5k runs in on the game if not closer to 10k. Most of my childhood and early adulthood was chaining the game back to back trying to discover some inconsistencies we found in our first few runs.

Luckily one of those inconsistencies was preserved for a few years to show a few people on our original cart, but we had a bad flood and lost it :( That particular inconsistency was a save file in the WoR with Leo in our party. We did not game shark, ever. It looks like after doing some research that is glitchable, and I accept this one as closed now.

The other two things we did not keep a save for because it was from our first playthrough. The most that we ever deduced about what was special about this run is we did not know you could save Shadow in WoB and no Mog, Gogo, Umaro, also, we sketch glitched the game at one point.

Somehow, we had a relic that is not in the game normally called a Soul Ring. It caused the characters to enact their 'limit' attacks that you do not see very often.

Also, there was another moogle room in Mog's cave in the WoR that had a bunch of graves in it and a single save point, nothing else.

If this was a he-said, she-said I would drop it. But I have spent atleast 15 years chasing these two down and figured before finally giving up for good I would ask here since you guys know the deep mechanics of not only this game, but other square games of the time.
