@Mebiusdore first off, please try to just edit posts to have everything in 1 post. Second, for stuff like that just go on cyberscore or a highscore website. There's nothing to speedrun in what you described.
@Sizzyl I was talking about speedrunning the entire game with a full score on all weeks. I said that if you miss once in any song in a week, you'll have to restart the entire week. (Sorry for not using the edit function, I wasn't aware of it.. )
context: If you miss any note in a song, you must restart the week and the score must be perfect for all songs
If a person speedrunning the game misses a note in any song, the week that contains that song must be restarted entirely. This is somewhat similar to the game Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends, there is one part where you have to get all levels gold medal, 100% perfect. If its not 100% in a level, then the level must be restarted again. I am aware all songs have a fixed duration, however there is a part where the game freezes for a bit when loading a song. The time varies and I don't know how it works, that freezing also adds to the game's time. So I guess avoiding the freezing part helps your time?
@Mebiusdore What you describe is not a speedrun, it's a "challenge run". Players can get better and better at the game, and eventually challenge themselves to get perfect combos/score/whatever. But essentially, they still "complete" the game in the same time it can take for another player who don't get perfect score.
wow man that's epic
(if there's nothing above this post, it was a bot saying 'We Fought THE BIGGEST BOSS In MINECRAFT… (impossible)' advertising their own vidoe
(dont know how to do the cool quote thing) @Mebiusdore "I am aware all songs have a fixed duration, however there is a part where the game freezes for a bit when loading a song. The time varies and I don't know how it works, that freezing also adds to the game's time. So I guess avoiding the freezing part helps your time?"
so the "speedrun" is watch an autoscroller and hope the loads are fast? and what part of this can you influence to make your time go faster? nothing, in this scenario what decides is if you pb or not is it loads fast which is out of your control
@SioN
dont know how to do the cool quote thing
You can find the answer to that and other such questions in the formatting guide, but it's pretty simple—just put "quote" in [brackets] before the start of the quote, and "/quote" in brackets at the end.
good necro post. funny thing i was just yesterday thinking of how i was helped on how to make quotes here and there it is
cool idea, but i feel like it would be bad in execution. there’s no way to really speed up songs and the game isn’t finished yet. i feel like it would just be a repeat of fnaf 1 speedruns
My thoughts abut Friday Night is that it just plays at set speed so it wouldn’t make for a good speed game. But I do have to ask why a number of rhythm games are already on the site like Rhythm Doctor, or why Just Dance or Geometry Dash is on the site and how do people even save time on there if it plays at a set speed. The only time save I’ve seen in Geometry Dash without just not dying is a small time save that I’ve seen @Chris_the_gamer discover. And Other Scratch Games does have an IL for a Scratch copy of FNF and I remember speedrunning it and competing with a couple of others and apparently it’s possible to save some time past the song? Unless the Scratch version works differently than the original. I don’t think FNF should be added but why are there already a lot of games accepted on the site that are rhythm or don’t have a lot of optimization like the ones I just mentioned?
