Maybe my Google skills aren't the best, but I was wondering which model of the DS is the fastest to run DS games. (not 3DS games)
My guess would be New 3DS. But what about the Phat, Lite, i or the old 3DS?
Soon picking up some DS games to run :)
Defiantly not the 3ds a 3ds runs normal ds games slower like load times take longer so I am going to guess same is true for new 3ds, I have no clue about the dsi but ds and dslite shouldn't change much I know the dslite is pretty fast compared to 3ds in load times.

As I also said I have no clue about new3ds so maybe some one else will be able to tell you :)
Is there any proof 3DS is slower than original when playing? That article only says it takes longer to load from the menu which is irrelevant.
I did some runs on it and it seemed faster too but I could always do a more in depth test :) in fact I will ^^
Edit - I just did some tests I did find with the game I tested my ds lite did have slightly faster loading times than my 3ds but I would greatly appreciate if anyone else could do this because I would love to know if 3ds is faster or not or if my test was a bit wrong or if it depends on the game? and if how new the console is comes in to this as well? because I know that happens for wii. and I only linked that article because it is about loading times and there really aren't many more of them, :) ^_^ sorry :D thank you yeah as I said hope some one else can help with this :D
hmm also intresting it said, DSi and 3DS models run slower than all other DS models. but it said that phat may be the fastest but it may also depend on the game as seen with ff4 haha this defiantly needs more testing my test was on professor Layton and it seems to follow the same pattern of just slightly faster, this is very interesting thank you for finding these :)
I don't have a phat any more so I really can't test on that but. This post also seems to suggest that new 3ds may be just as bad but its not conclusive "I have concluded that it is in fact the same. I do not know why it is so slow on the new 3ds" and there is no telling what all games are like:) thank you I couldn't find any thing like this :D its really interesting
