no that is an absolutely god awful idea:

1. what counts as a subarea? is tutorial a subarea; is test a subarea?
2. this is gonna be a repeat of test% if test is allowed, and it'll be a 0.00 run if tutorial is allowed.
3. are the individual worlds subareas? they're accessed through a load from the hub!
4. this category would only have one way to optimize it.

it would be miles better if you had to enter EVERY sub area or also get the ice creams in them, but as you said, its hard to judge what a sub area truly is

Ima just say a couple more things to elaborate on this, a sub area counts as an area that you got too using the purple portals like the soap sub area in turtle tops or the 2d water one in hecklands, timing stops when you regain control of beebo, hope that helps
