Need help with a glitch deconstruction/replication

So I'm currently routing a game that I want to request(Ballad of Solar), and I was streaming it earlier today when I found the first time saving glitch in the game. Problem is, I don't know how to precisely replicate it. I've replicated it once since i discovered it in the video below, but i still have no idea how to do it.

This game is driven by mouse only, so what you see on screen are the only inputs.

Around 0:55 or so in the video, i click a log for the worker to cut and he freezes in place and does the work without pathing to the position, I then click a few other logs and it still works. It even worked when i clicked the food bush, but then stopped working suddenly (probably from the worker being idle for too long)

Any ideas??? If this can be consistent and replicated across multiple levels in the game that would save so much time for this run, but even if it only works for this one spot in this level, you'd save a couple seconds.

Since this game isn't on the site yet, because I still need to finish a full single-segment run to request it, there isn't a game-specific forum for it either, so that's why I'm posting this here in the general speedrunning forum.

any thoughts then?

i think it has something to do with his pathing, but i can't be sure.

I dont know this game but the "normal" way to find out what is causing, is to trigger it many times and the look for the similaritys. Maybe its because the fat blue guy is blocking the way when clicking on the log and then he gets into the glitched state of "being where i need to be", but as i said i dunno anything about this game.

so just keep trying to replicate it basically? until I figure it out?

yea, like when you try to train for a difficult jump and you repeat it until you finally understand how to pull it off.

i wish i recorded the time i replicated it after that.. like literally the first time I tried to recreate it I did... but not since.

So what's happening to the worker before I click the logs is that he's heading back to the tent. they do that after waiting for a short time. I just recorded what it would look like if i hadn't clicked the logs during his run back.

Via going frame by frame through both recordings, I discovered that I somehow clicked the logs at the same time as when he was supposed to turn that corner. And i think that's what did it. But that would mean it's a basically frame perfect trick. (problem is that the game runs at 96-98 fps and i can only record at 30 so it's hard to know if it was actually the same frame or not)

I have no clue as to how this works, but I would recommend trying to recreate this using a TAS to recreate the positions, then (by use of trial and error) figure out what else causes this.

Perhaps this is too tedious and not worth it, but if it is extremely significant then you should give it a shot.

I just replicated it on accident in a different level. Didn't record it being triggered but managed to record it working for a bit... If this is in multiple levels it is DEFINITELY worth making a TAS decontruction like you mention. Thanks for the idea!!!
