It depends on the rules the game moderators set. If it is a very long run (usually more than 12 hours) you could probably take at least 1 break. But you most likely aren’t allowed to take a break during a 3 hour long run.

Yes, you can take a break. No, you can’t pause time during the break unless the category rules specifically allow for that.
