Is a NES classic (The re-release) considered a console? i don't know and want to speed run on that

Ohio, USA

Most NES games accept runs done on the NES classic. Beware that you will automatically lose a very small amount of time due to the difference of frame rates between it and the original NES.

A console? Yes. It's also an emulator of the original NES, and should be treated as such.

Also, they re-released the NES Classic?

Germany

This forum really needs a search other than pressing ctrl+f at some point, judging by the amount of "is the NES Classic an emulator" (and similar for other emulation hardware) threads :|

Canada

I mean if people can't even be bothered to Ctrl+F (or even just scroll down a bit) I don't see why they'd bother using a search feature either.

Admittedly, it can be daunting to CTRL + F through some places on the site. Search is a good suggestion, but honestly, we have plenty of folks who are helpful enough to re-answer questions too, so... =P
