Hey guys, new to the run so apologizes if this is a dumb question.

Is starting a run with a sharpener outside the drill, then attaching it as you would a pencil legal? The rules say "Neither the pencils nor the sharpener can be mounted or attached to anything that is not a part of your body." but naturally the pencils can be affixed to the drill chuck during the run.

I read another thread where someone asked if this was equivalent to using an electric sharpener, but they didn't receive any reply.

If someone could clarify this rule it'd be greatly appreciated.

Well, no, that is allowed, though it will be slower.
