I don't think the "random matches" should be a category at all. there is too much variance in the skill of players of both the person running, their teammates ad the opponents they would fight. it's also pretty usual to not include (online) competitive matches as a part of speedrunning.

though i would also extend this to get ride of the "cpu matches" category as there is still lots of variance even with computers opponents, i would like to hear thoughts on just ridding of "random matches"

Technically random matches are PvP thats againts Speedrun.com rules so yeah that's should be remove i think

A poll about this has been hosted in the Pokémon Mobile Games & Minigames Speedrun Discord server.

According to the result of the poll, people who agrees to keep Random Matches categories are more than people who disagrees to keep Random Matches categories. Therefore, Random Matches categories will be kept.

Wait if what Tenebrosful said is true then it doesn't matter if you did a poll. PvP is against speedrun.com rules and it should go. Right?

After deeper research, it's not againts rule. But not sure that it's ok about Pokemon Unite's rules, especially for the first death run. People who will run in this category will do it at their own risk.
