All web versions of the game now online on newly restored fansite.

All four of the Crimson Room series of games are available on www.fasco-cs.net.

This is not the original website from back in the day, it is a fan recreation made to look identical to it. The author went through the trouble of cracking all of the Flash files to remove their URL checks so they can now be played on this website (instead of trying to reach the servers of the former fasco-csc.com which no longer exists).

As long as you have a browser that is able to play Flash content you should be able to play all four of these games, including the part in Crimson Room that requires you to find the safe combination!

Firefox still supports Flash, though they will ask you if you want to enable Flash applications. Additionally many derivatives of Firefox's code, such as Pale Moon, will also allow Flash.

Way more browsers out there than Chrome. I don't trust Google one bit so I stopped using as many Google products as I could, Chrome being one of them.

Okay, well as of January this year Firefox does not support Flash any longer, and the final update of Flash neutered it so that it doesn't respond anymore in ANY browser that tries to initiate Flash content.

~~I downloaded the DRM-wiped versions of Crimson Room, Viridian Room, and Blue Chamber from FASCO-CS.net... but White Chamber is again proving to be a pain in the ass. FASCO-CS.net initializes the game's preloader, start.swf (with English language modifier on the embedded site code), but this is the only file available for download. The second half of the game is missing.

I will be doing some poking around. The first 3 games play fine in a standalone Flash Player (which is still online as "Flash debugger" from Adobe, not sure for how long -- I've got backups just in case that I can provide).~~

EDIT: GOT IT ALL WORKING In order for White Chamber to work you need to grab two files from FASCO-CS.net, they are: www.fasco-cs.net/white_chamber/start.swf www.fasco-cs.net/white_chamber/main21.swf Do not rename either file, put them in a folder named "White Chamber" if you need a reminder so you don't get confused. When you launch "start.swf" locally with Flash Player, it will initialize main21.swf and the game will function normally. It'll be in Japanese though, as the only way to set the English language flag was with a URL modifier in your browser. English might be able to be hacked into the .swf's but I haven't dug that deep into the actionscript yet.

Anyways, all of the files are now mirrored in the Gatorbox "Secret Stash": http://gator.co/secretstash
