Hey i think it would be pretty cool if there was a way to have your own little notepad thing on this site. i tend to write a lot of notes about speedrun-related stuff, future speedprojects etc. Would be pretty cool if you could do that on the site instead of on paper or on your pc. Just to have your speedrun notes the same place as your speedruns.

i used to play an online browser game where this was an option and i think it would be a pretty neat addition to this site. of course i don't know much about the technical side of things, but if it doesn't take up too much time or server power then i think it would be a cool feature. You could even choose to have an option between making it private/public, so if you choose to make it public you can let other people see what speedrun related stuff you're thinking about.

What you’re looking for already exists for the most part - it’s the Guides section on every LB. Communities/games can share notes and guides for the run right there for everyone to see.

Private notes or stuff that doesn't make sense under Guides are probably best handled on your own computer or on a site like Pastebin. Allowing users to create random text files and then storing them on the site just doesn’t make sense when there are other options out there that already do it and do it very well (Pastebin, Google Docs, even a notepad app).

yeah i guess it's easier to just keep it on the pc. wouldn't mind it if it was a thing though. also okay, i'll use that thread next time!
