Game duplicate

Hi,

Not sure if I should have posted this in the "Leaderboards moderation requests thread" or separate, since it's connected to an inactive mod. Theoretically I don't (necessarily) want to be a moderator...

So the actual problem: There are two instances of the same game "Light":

  1. https://www.speedrun.com/LIGHT
  2. https://www.speedrun.com/light

The moderator of the first one has been inactive for quite some time (> 1 year). The moderator of the second instance has been active more recently and actually added the category I suggested in the forum of the first instance.

Nonetheless, there are two instances of the same game which probably shouldn't be the case. Is there a way to merge the leaderboards (ideally without anyone losing their time)?

Thank you very much Vehemens

By definitions of the rules, one of the runs allows for glitches, one doesn't. However: I know of glitches used (and couldn't find any in the runs), apart from a place where a stuttering of the game accelerates the player. But that is also visible in the glitchless run and is not used to improve the time. So I don't see a problem there.

Concerning the Any% and 100%: The 100%/Any% is rather misleader as there are no '%' in the game. There is a highscore which is ignored in both run rules and is completely irrelevant.

So I would consider all the existing runs to be the same type and merging them should be fair.

I'd be okay with being a mod (if necessary); but I have no experience with being a mod.

Ok, I'll merge these together then.

As long as you can verify runs are complete and such when people submit them you should be okay. If the original mod returns you're free to remove yourself whenever.

Since the more recent board requires video, I decided to not pass over the run with no proof. The original submitter noted in their run comment they'd be adding "videos soon" but looks like they never did. They're free to submit if they ever come back onto the site, but it seems unfair to pass over a run with no proof, when the only one who can confirm it happened is the submitter; who is now inactive.

edit: Done
