@rob443 At the moment, not really. I can probably make the window 'click-through' but the ideal implementation would be a proper DirectX Overlay. My focus is still to make that a possibility.

Thanks for the reply sir. Ofc getting the DX Overlay working with all icons will make that obsolote.

@Squirrelies Thanks for getting back to me! This new set of plugins worked like a charm. Thanks again!

@lwjcser Download links are in the first page. We transitioned to a new program format so the github repo changed as well.

Is there a way to use the Direct X overlay from the 1050 release with the new program format? I'm running on a single monitor setup and it's possible to accidentally click on the SRT during gameplay which switches your input to it.

No, it was removed due to bugs I was unable to properly fix. It may come back at some point as a separate plugin for SRT Host at some point but there are no current plans for this.

If you need a DirectX Overlay, you may want to use the RE3 Overlay plugin ( https://www.speedrun.com/re3r/thread/saeet ) by @hntd187

I downloaded the new SRT according to the instruction in the video, but clicked SRTHOST and the SRT icon is not displayed. This is why only the CMD is displayed.

I opened up the SRT today but it seems to not be working any longer. The code window seems to be continuously scrolling and the srt itself shows 0 for timer and DA. It was working Tuesday, so I'm figuring a windows update messed it up. Will try a reinstall, but has anyone else faced this issue? Thank you!\

EDIT: Upon re-downloading the SRT and the Plugins from the RE3 Speedrun server on Discord, I am now facing an error where I open up SRT but only the black coding window shows up. The actual application with DA, health, time, etc does not open now. @Squirrelies is this something you may have faced before? Sorry to bother you!

EDIT #2: My sincerest apologies, after toying around further and opening the tool after the game was open, I am now getting the SRT. I will leave these edits in case anyone else has an issue :)

Now the new SRT can be used normally, but it seems that transparency cannot be set, which affects the operation in the game. Hope to solve it. Thank you.

Difficulty pointer found and added again. Japanese CERO Z support added.

Hello, I can’t figure it out (. I need a display in the game itself as it was in RE2, I do not need a plug-in for OBS. What should I download? There is no SRT display in the game itself

Squirrelies, I understand that you are a busy person. Well, can you give at least the slightest installation instruction? We have 2 archives: https://www.neonblu.com/SRT/Host/SRTHost_2120-Beta-Signed-Release.7z https://www.neonblu.com/SRT/RE3R/SRTHost-RE3RPlugins_20200606-090546-Beta-Signed-Release.7z What is the link for? Where to put it? https://github.com/Squirrelies/SRTHost

Many have 1 monitor and you can’t just insert a widget on top of the game so that the mouse does not switch to the widget. Can you explain how to make SRT appear in the game itself?

Greece

Just extract in any folder. Run the game then run SRTHost.exe, that's all (extract both .7z in the SAME folder) Note, the SRT not appear on game screen as directX overlay

@Vampire0611 The most recent RE3 patch has disabled the Overlay app and the Direct X overlay of the SRT app. Until either is fixed, as far as I know you have 3 options for single monitor:

  1. Download and use the old RE3 patch (see some of the recent posts in the Overlay thread) and then use (re3remakesrt-1050-beta-signed-release) which has a Direct X overlay so you can't click on it during gameplay.

  2. Run windowed mode and keep the SRT outside of the game window.

  3. Run windowed borderless mode and keep the SRT in the corner of your screen and just hope you don't accidentally click on it during a good run.

I am working on trying to bring this back properly-ish (not bound to the WinForm code-base at all, minimal dependencies, etc.)

@Natural11 Steps 2 and 3 plus (see through windows) can prevent the mouse from accidentally clicking on it. The game can also run in full screen, but it will affect the vision to a certain extent. @Vampire0611
