Four lines of what you said was about speedrunning. The rest was defending your metaphor. Read the fucking room, that shit isn't okay here, you're free to discuss speedrunning and you can suggest ILs however you please but stop peddling your, at best, ignorant position. This is 100% not the place for that. Remember: we are playing video games here, that is all.
Hi all, I was updating our game's Resources page when I tried to add a tool from a user on our discord who, as far as I know, does not have a discord account. Their name is dude, but when I put their name as "Author", it linked to another account with the same name. How do I properly dissociate the name from the account? The way I did it was put a zero-width space () after their name, which did the trick, but I'm wondering if there's a legitimate way to do so. Cheers.
(resource is the top in the list https://www.speedrun.com/cuphead/resources here)
I wish to be able to add translations to rules for games I moderate to other languages, in ways other than putting them all in the same textbox. I think it's very important to help facilitate the community world wide than just english. If there's a way to do this already, please let me know :)
Also also, I know it's been said before, but you can't right click to open a run in a new tab/window. This is very frustrating, especially if you're mass editing / moving runs.
Obviously, if this category were to exist, it should exist on the category extensions. However, since this idea does not provide any new significant challenge or twist on the game (it is very similar to the All Bosses category), it does not deserve it's own place as it stands. Also, since it encourages modifying the game, something which we do not support for runs (and is banned on the rest of the leaderboard), it could lead to a slippery slope of people changing other minute details that may go undetected and subsequently bleed onto the rest of the boards. We appreciate your suggestion despite not thinking it's fit for the boards at the moment.
'Note that the leaderboard filtering default variable values is supposed to happen - it is one of the properties of the "default value"'
Yeah, that makes little sense, but does fit everything I've seen so far. Removing the default value fixed the issue. I agree that it should be changed.
Well I'm not entirely convinced the bug is happening, if only one or two more people were to say they were having it :P (\lh)
I've been experiencing this issue on the Cuphead boards as well. We tried to add a filter, and experienced pretty much the same thing as the second point
I've been convinced, I really don't see a downside to a textbox. Forcing people to pick out of three pre-determined options kind of defeats the purpose, no?
I don't think the logo should have been changed, it looks unnatural
I doubt anyone would splice a run of that game so you have little to worry about, at least for now. Over time if more people run you'll understand it better and maybe a community will form that mods can be made from, rather than a random person from the main forum that has probably never heard of the game
(or the mods of that game first if you can get in touch with them)
It would be nice if I could have a way to hide certain games from my speedrun page, or at least behind a "show hidden" checkbox. My profile is cluttered with games like Seterra on both my IL and full game boards and I'd really like those games to take a backseat to something like Portal which I'm much more proud of.
Also, I know this has been mentioned before, but the Full Game page is listed in chronological descending (i think) order while IL is the opposite for some reason.
Yeah, top 3 makes sense.
Mixtogent - I used SPRT first before I found out about the online tool. They seem to agree, and since the online one is easier / gives the start/stop times as well, I think it's better to use.
