@darkviper88 I believe it's a known bug that should be fixed soon...ish
I really would, but my predicament doesn't let me.
Oh my god the mobile version is absolutely infuriating. I liked having the same view as desktop, but now most information is hidden. Forcing desktop version doesn't fix it, and zooming has been locked out. It was perfectly fine before, but now it's gimped. Phones are terrible for web browsers as it is, and now it requires more precise finger pressing. For the love of the site PLEASE FIX THIS.
Please ban gif avatars until a solution to it is found, I have to browse with images disabled other in a desperate attempt to save bandwidth. Seriously, everyone here using a super large gif as an avatar should be ashamed of themselves.
That's been mentioned in other threads before, but the way the site is laid out encourages mods to self-verify. Getting on the front page gives your run more attention, especially if it's a world record and/or a popular game. If there's a delay in approving, it doesn't get on the front page. Yeah it's mostly an ego thing, but you can see how it's encouraged.
I believe most of the really popular games still require someone else to verify a moderator's run, but for smaller games it's a bit of problem. For obscure games it's justified seeing how no one else is likely qualified to moderate.
Could the pencil (edit run for moderators) be added back to leaderboards? It made working on the runs a lot easier. That, and it didn't inflate total run views.
Thanks a bunch for that; I added the variations to the mission leaderboard. I'll keep 5eb on there for now for completion sake which I believe is GDI 05b: Repair the GDI Base (Germany, South). Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.
Why can't I change Emulator runs to Banned? Everytime I do it just changes back to Hidden by default.
No idea why it's so spread out: https://www.speedrun.com/user/Kotti
I mentioned this before: gifs aren't resized when uploaded. NOW IT'S EVEN WORSE RuleFive
IL leaderboards are misaligned
and with the above, text with links look almost just like normal text, so people will never know what's clickable
I should have written that more clearly. "reloads and pauses are not subtracted from the time" -- during the mission itself, not in between missions, is what I meant.
A possible way to let donors have icons next to their names is to use their profile theme's favicon if their amount is over €5. You could probably just parse where ever you save the "Donated €x.xx" data to trigger it to replace the coin. Enabling it for every user would be a bit spammy.
I misread this thread at first and I crunched how long it takes for a run to be approved.
25% of runs get approved within 1 hour 50% of runs get approved within 5 hours 80% of runs get approved within 24 hours 88% of runs get approved within 3 days 92% of runs get approved within 1 week (at this point you should try contacting the mod(s)) 95% of runs get approved within 3 weeks (if at this point you haven't had any response, ask to moderate the game yourself)
This excluded anything approved in under 5 seconds, which were mostly self-approved runs.
kirkq makes his rounds about once a week, though it can take longer if he's busy IRL. He added some about 2 days ago so it'll be a few days before it gets approved.
Bonus: I first misread his question, so I crunched how long it takes for a run to be approved.
