remember how when you opened the speedrunning forum, there was a sticky thread that said, "READ BEFORE POSTING"
why don't you read it :) https://www.speedrun.com/speedrunning/thread/6tgel
I'd recommend checking out the advertisement thread
This is a thread where people posted games that they enjoyed running, so it's a pretty good place to look. You can also go to this link to view popular PC games for speedrunning, and this link for popular web games.
Completing the game. If the game has an ending, get the ending. If the game has several levels for you to play, beating all the levels, etc. If you submit a speedrun of a single level or just the tutorial, it probably won't be acccepted.
And again, don't be sorry about asking questions.
It should be fine with a YouTube and Discord contacts.
I believe you need 2 socials you can be directly contacted on, however reddit and discord should be fine. Youtube doesn't count though, I know that from experience.
Any form of video is okay for runs, even something like pointing a phone camera at a screen. I'd highly recommend uploading your runs to youtube. In order for a run streamed on twitch or another platform to be retimed, the video would have to be downloaded. Youtube runs are easier to verify, because they can be frame advanced and retimed without downloading.
Currently, games won't be accepted onto the site if you don't have a full playthrough of the game. I'd recommend reading all of the game request rules here.
And don't feel sorry about asking "newbie" questions, everyone here was new once. :)
Now the thread is here permanently, even though the first post has been deleted. Does anyone know what the original post said?
you already made a thread about this, but I'd recommend checking out the advertisement thread

Most of the games I run are very obscure, so I very rarely see new runners. The only exceptions to this are games like grey-box testing or 60 seconds burger run, which are popular and have a lot of people searching for them. However, I'm pretty much alone in a lot of other games. Even though I've been running the game for a year, I'm still the only runner for https://speedrun.com/tim_
Unfortunately kirby the unofficial game isn't playable on mobile. My suggestion is to play some webgames that are on coolmath, those are playable on mobile I'm pretty sure. Here are some that I enjoy:
https://www.speedrun.com/60ssr https://www.speedrun.com/mini_bubbles https://www.speedrun.com/a_pirate_and_his_crates https://www.speedrun.com/use_boxmen https://www.speedrun.com/sbbp https://www.speedrun.com/jumpnull https://www.speedrun.com/eddynardo https://www.speedrun.com/three_goblets
This is a bit overkill, but I don't know how many of these would work well on mobile.
I honestly just don't feel like typing everything. I'll make a support hub request later if I feel like it.
Bumping this thread so someone from Elo might see this, but this stupid order of sorting things has lead to this nonsense https://www.speedrun.com/smbce/thread/jj6ox/
If you can't find the exact release date, then put whatever you can find. I've had this happen with a couple games, and I either put the date of the earliest video/post about the game I can find, or if I know what year it was released, I put the date as January 1st of that year. You don't need to know the exact date to request a game.
@SioN this is a different thread
OP didn't delete, thankfully. https://www.speedrun.com/speedrunning/thread/wg04p
