Just a note to anyone who has broken settings in the future, try this guide before factory resetting your PC: https://www.speedrun.com/ppt_c1/guide/zojwe
I'm guessing the factory reset worked because it cleared your save files. I might as well copy the text of the guide over to C2 as well.
@Rekt00x Two weeks minimum from release. We might need more time to actually get runs verified depending on how load removal will work.

I would say it'd depend on what you're editing. It has generally been allowed in the past to edit files that do not impact game function. The only thing that would be a grey area, at least from what I can see, is editing the frame rate limit since frame rate messes with game function to some extent. Editing GameUserSettings has not been really tested to my knowledge, so I'd appreciate it if you could run through all of the settings you're changing with me. You can message me in the speedrunning Discord or DM me at CookiesUnite#0463.
Category extensions are generally taken less seriously than main boards. You should have both, but they are not required.
Ah, it's due to having a default variable set for FPS. Unchecked the default variable, so they should show up now.
The run was verified without the loads being manually retimed. It was kicked back to queue to be retimed later.
The skip that is used is called hyperspeed swing. Basically, you set your FPS to 30, grab on to a swing, hold jump, and then spam the click of the hand you grabbed with. For example, if you grabbed with your left hand, you would spam left click. If you click too much though, it will send you flying out of bounds.
Sorry for the late response. Go to your layout settings, then World Record, then under the category, "Filter Leaderboard By," make sure to check variable. This will then take the variables you have entered and give the fastest time for those variables.
@QWERTYTED You can right click on any game you have downloaded in your Steam library, go to manage, and then browse local files. You can then navigate up to steamapps and then follow the rest of the instructions.
My guess is you don't have the game in your library or you don't have enough space for it.
@Joahjai807 Yeah, the leaderboards are set to rank time without loads. If you don't have it entered, it automatically puts you at the bottom. Mods will usually retime runs anyway, so it'll be properly ranked when a mod gets to it.
@Yuweoplays The 2nd patch of the game. The command for it is already in the guide.
Oh, for Rukki skip, you have to click, unclick, and then click and hold before it hits the power things. Rukki skip works on any version.
Setting the timer up for all of the categories is the same. I would imagine you unchecked autostart in the autosplitter settings.
The video just has to show you grabbing all of the collectables. Reloading if you don't grab the trophy is fine.
@D2agon C2 releasing and C1 going free increased the amount of runs that were being submitted per day quite dramatically. In April, there were 94 runs that were accepted to the boards with an average of 4.4 being submitted a day. In May, there were a total of 822 runs accepted to the C1 and C2 boards with an average of 53.5 runs being submitted per day (27 to C2, 26.5 to C1.)
Recently, Spiff made a run submission fails video. This has about doubled the amount of runs that are being submitted to C1.
Edit: Tool used to get the numbers, https://analyzer.minibeast.me
If you already have the autosplitter setup and a timer set to IGT, you should downpatch the game for the timer to function properly. While the autosplitter does kind of work on new patch, it's not super functional.
We'll be making categories for the category extensions once we get a decent handle on the C1 and C2 queues. Adding more runs to verify would not be a super great idea with the queues for both games at 100+.
Slowrunning is generally discouraged, however, it isn't completely disallowed. A more correct rejection reason would be, "Run has more than 5 minutes of inactivity." As long as you're moving around for a majority of the run, it's fine.
