Is typing fast a game? I type really fast too, but don't think a gaming speedrunning website would be the best place to show that off (I wouldn't ever care to show it off).

If you think outside the box tho....I bet there are some text based games on this site that would put your 100wpm to the test if you looked around a bit. I know they don't allow just typing/educational type things to this site, but there's plenty of text based adventure games you could probably crush was a mixture of practice and 100wpm typing prowess.

Hello, I have a request, that I or someone else on the leaderboard that is active like Roguelink (or both of us) to become mods of Gargoyle's Quest 2 (NES). Currently there are only 3 mods for the game; @Sparsie has been inactive 2 years, @Spiderweb__ for 1 year and @WhiteHat94 for a month. I have had no luck in contacting anyone offline. I have 2 pending runs currently and would really like to get this community more active again, since it is my favorite NES game and have been running it on a daily basis for a couple months now. Please let me know if I can get you any more information about this, thank you!

Maybe mods should ask for proof calls, or challengers could contest a video-less run to prompt a proof call in the case of a video disappearing from its host site?

That brings in a problem tho: if that runner has left the hobby, or has passed away; is their run invalid even though it was legitimately verified just because they're no longer around/alive to put forward re-re-verified proof? I dont like the thought of that to be honest. I think a lot of these players want their times recorded for posterity and don't want to constantly have to reverify already verified runs while worrying the minute they kick the bucket their run will be invalidated.

I loooooove the Star Control games. I've played SC2 on my 3do casually off and on for years. Currently running Gargoyle's Quest 2 for NES, and may run the rest of the trilogy after that......but man now I've got a serious urge for some SC2...and I've got a brand new controller for the 3do to play with and everything :)

Hey all, just started speedrunning classic NES games a couple months ago. Currently running Gargoyle's Quest 2 any%, and will be submitting my 29ish run here as soon as the link is up. Had plenty better than that before i could capture my runs, but gotta start somewhere so decided to submit it.

May do the entire trilogy after i get a time im satisfied with on this one. Thanks for reading!
