Marvel Vs. Capcom Collection

What would it take for me to be able to run it on the MVC Collection?

Chile

To have runs done in the new MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection you gotta own a PS4 or PS5 or Switch with ElGato card capture. Or probably you need buying that collection through Steam, therefore the platform must be "PC" . Obviously runs done using the new MvC collection must be shown as confirmation of this. But of course, emulation is an viable option like Mame, Winkawaks, Fightcade, FBA Neo Alpha, Bizhawk, Gotvg. And new stuff like MiSTer would fit greatly.

I ment for the settings.

I'm assuming default settings with free play being legal?

Chile

Ohhhh... in relation to settings in MvC collection... well if configuration of dip switches can be shown in the collection then it's ok (Assuming if main menu could look like the Capcom Beat'em up Bundle menuing). If not, probably nope. This is some sort of mandatory for 1cc and no death runs.

I haven't played the mvc collection yet... apparently all games in the collection start with "Free Play" mode... which I don't know if this can be changed to "Insert Coin".

In any%: any difficulty can be played, but for faster execution "Extra Easy" is recommended. Free play mode is ok, credit feeding is ok. (No need to show dip switches, but you have free will to do it or not, if you can).

In 1cc%: default difficulty is a must, default lives is a must, only one extend is a must., no credit feeding. (Dip switches is a must to be shown at the beginning).

Can I post the Japanese version of the record in a separate category?

The default settings for the Marvel Vs. Capcom Collection are 4★ for difficulty and 3 for grenades. The bosses have more health and the game is very different, including flaming jump kicks.

You can submit your run freely but in the common Arcade category because no need a separate category for that if there will be only one runner or a few. Besides the emulation of Mame and other stuff are an option to use/play the non-difficult regions, right?. The JP version... I am aware of that, the differences among region gameplay in The Punisher... but for now it is gonna be like that, you are free to submit runs in the Arcade category,... some runs in JP region were already checked and verified in the past, the same are gonna happen in your future submissions but altogether in arcade categories, whether Any, 1cc or Deathless. Happy submissions.

JP version and US Version are quite different on difficulty and in game. I remember I confirmed this with @LRock617

It might be worth looking into and listing out again

Chile

Yes, DBCade--- I realized that for LRock mentioned that when he was playing both versions in his streams. I confirm that.

Well if this person Mukuro has this idea of running the JP, and how he comments this difference, I am gonna create immediately. In return, all dip switches must be revealed before an official run is done.

Thank you for your reply!

I noticed yesterday and was looking into it, but it appears that the default settings for the collection are wrong and the actual arcade version's difficulty is 3 stars...

I will post a record of the Japanese version soon. Please consider again at that time.
