So I submitted a game request for a scratch game titled The Longest Platformer Ever, and it got rejected for not being notable enough. One thing that I'm a little confused about is that there are very obscure Scratch games on speedrun.com. Why did those games get accepted but mine didn't? If there is something I'm completely missing, sorry about that, but I just think that it's a little odd.
I don't know what other scratch games you are referring to. However, the game request rules became more strict over the years, but they are not applied retroactively. It is very likely that most of the scratch games on the site will not be accepted today.
"... request being rejected (not Amoung Us btw)" Love that you put that in the title. Absolutely love that, thank you :D
Going to echo what Oreo said here: The standards we are using now are a fair bit more stringent than what we used in the past, and it is likely that those games were accepted in the past. We don't go back and retroactively apply standards (except in a few extenuating circumstances which we've mostly mitigated since and that I won't mention to avoid drawing any attention to it), so the games remain. Another possibility is that they were added by series moderators, which is why we are extremely strict on series moderation now. But having seen your request myself, I'd have to agree with it simply being not notable.
The thing is that there is a game made in scratch that was added 2 days ago https://www.speedrun.com/bombermanscratch. Why did this get accepted but mine didn't?
Griffpatch is a pretty famous Scratcher, and his projects are always popular and high-quality. There's also other games by Griffpatch that have leaderboards, like Scratchnapped and Getting Over It (Scratch edition).
