So I recently got interested in running this, but I only have the 3ds Virtual Console version of the game, and for some reason the Nidoran manip isnt working, and idk if the 3ds version is different or something, but help would be appreciated.
The 3DSVC has a different bios. So, the intro is different (No GameBoy Screen) and the manips won't work.
I've been working on brute forcing a good Nido manip for VC, and have a fairly easy and consistent one that gives a lvl 4 with 15-14-13-12 (I think) at lvl 8, but it's been forever since I looked into running this game, so I don't know how viable that is. I also still need to test it to make sure it still works after clearing my save. Still working on getting one with better stats, but I'd love to know if someone else has figured a good one out.
