Ledge clip tech on SNES (skips Level 1 boss)

So I've been trying out the SNES version, getting used to the controls, and I've found a neat little trick that allows you to glitch through uneven ledges.

One use for it that I found is skipping the Level 1 boss entirely:

The idea is to stand in a specific spot on the edge of a platform (here, the window is somewhat generous, about 3-4 pixels), facing away from the ledge, crouch, and go prone.

Remember to buffer another jump when you clip through the branch to jump over the Jag (to avoid triggering the fight). My visual cue for this one is that Harry's left toes should be a bit past the bigger gap in the cobweb when you're facing rightwards.

Another use for this technique that I found is doing a deathless Tikal Temple clip, saving about 3 seconds over the current method thanks to not needing to respawn (it's also a lot more consistent and easier to execute - well, for me, at least):

OK, it seems you also need to perfectly rebound from the floor after the floor clip in Ceiba jungle, otherwise the boss will be activated. But it indeed works on console!

One obvious target for this tech would be the Copan Temple, but sadly I can't seem to find any useable ledges there that would improve the current route.

There are a few spots in the Copan Ruins where this trick works and saves some time, but most of those are on the path that is skipped by the wall clip at the start.

Except this one:

This clip saves up to 5 seconds if done quickly, but the required position is pixel perfect. Since we can only move in 2-frame increments (the game only polls for input once every 2 frames), you may have to adjust your position by crawling backwards.

For funsies, you can also glitch through the floor at the start of the Rainforest. Right at the edge of the first tar pit. ;j

Yeah, you still have to buffer the jump, the same way as with the Jaguarman boss in the Tikal Ruins. Sorry, forgot to mention that part.

Tazamul Mines would be the obvious target but I can't find a clippable place so far

Same here with the Mines level, unfortunately.

Exploring that one, I found two unrelated oddities that I can't seem to find any use for. I might as well share those too.

One, riding the second minecart all the way to the end, and holding Down+Jump as Harry is recovering from the wall splat, allows you to crawl through the wall. Sadly, the floor seems to end sooner than we can stand up:

Two, I'm not sure what's happening here. Either the exit triggers for the doors are tied to the camera position, or crawling backwards and standing up shifts Harry's X position to the right past the exit trigger. But we can get inside practically every door in the game by crawling backwards up to the exit trigger and standing up:

amazing finds! Glad to see the tikal skip is cleaned up with this tech as well. Keep up the awesome work Svipur! Have to give these a go this week.
