Trinity Infiltration door rng?

So, after you ride the second elevator down to the main area of the level, when you step out you'll see 2 guys talking to your right, and a door to your left.

In my PB, and in almost every video of the level I've seen, the door to the left is open, and following the corridor leads you to a large hangar.

However, for the last 30+ attempts, this door has been closed and the door leading to the hangar has been locked. Is there any way to manipulate the chances of the door being open, or is it just rng and I've been incredibly unlucky?

The door has been open in the past and I have no idea what I'm doing differently, pretty frustrating as the alternative route is a lot longer and pretty reset-heavy...

Anyone else having this issue?

Yeah I think it's RNG and don't know how to manipulate it which is why full game runs are so annoying to do. And Caroll can spawn anywhere and is random as well.

I know if the door on the left IS open, then you can page Caroll from one of the offices in the hangar and it'll send him to a specific location. Ah well, I'll have to see about getting a safe route for the right door, because I want to do some full-game runs and as it stands that'll really trip me up lol

So I found a way to manipulate the RNG...sort of.

The problem I had was that as soon as I encountered the locked door I quit the level and started again. For whatever reason, this locks the RNG in whatever state it was currently in. The only way to "reset" the variables is to complete the level with the "bad" RNG.

So in theory if you play a level until you encounter the bad RNG and complete it, you should have a very high chance of good RNG the next time you play the level. You could do that in preparation of a full-game run but it's farly time-consuming and annoying lol

(This also works for Jack's cell location in Laboratory Rescue)

Did some more experimenting and actually I have no idea how it works anymore :/

I do have a route for when the faster way is locked off that only loses about a minute, I'll make and post a guide for that in the next few days.

Video guide would help out a lot.

After doing runs it seems it is indeed random because I got good RNG twice in a row.

Scotland

I think bad is less likely than good overall, I've had good twice or 3 times in a row but never bad more than once. However, in my experience at least, if you quit out of a bad RNG run then it won't reset and will still be bad next time.
