So I just submitted the the first ever run of NFL Gauntlet. I used a custom team of very good create-a-players from the NFL challenge mode. I was wondering if there were plans to have a separate sub catagories for using NFL teams and using custom teams, similar to what happened with NFL Challenges NG/ NG+ distinction. I understand and support the need for a version of the run that doesn't require hours of prep-work before starting. I would just like to get out ahead of it if that is a distinction that is going to be made

Yes, I thought the same thing, but since the category was empty, I did not add anything. You're suggestion is legitimate.

My thought would be NG would be allowed to use any team the game provides, Legends and divisional teams included. NG+ would be a category of custom teams, which you can build up from both Own The City and NFL Challenge. I am going to add the variable right now.

My issue with using NFL ledgends and divisional teams is that they need to be unlocked within the game. Which requires prep work before the run and might prevent new players from attempting. I know you can use cheats to unlock them but i dont know if that goes against the spirt of the run. I would much prefure it to be NFL teams only. Anyway thats my opinion on it, if you decide differently ill abide by your ruling.

In my opinion New Game would mean something someone could do with a completely new profile and save file. Which unlockable teams against, although i might just be splitting hairs.

Yeah, but at the end of the day, NFL Legends and divisional teams are provided by the game, unlockable or not. They vary far differently from an NFL Challenge-built team, which can be built to have far more attributes.

I see what you mean though. I would have to see more submissions to the category to see if there is a lack of balance between NFL teams and the fantasy teams (Legends and divisional).

Edit: Reconsidering it, I will add a third sub-category for fantasy teams.
