Greetings New World Runners!

Many of you may have noticed the massive amount of changes that have happened to the New World Speedrun.com (SRC) page as of recent. So here are some the community has decided to implement.

Recent Changes:

• Moving Dungeons to Front of Page (Full Game) - This is to highlight the most ran/hardest content in the game front and center. As well as allow us to make proper changes to each category on the backend with ease when needed.

• Seasonal Leaderboard - With New World being a live service game there are many challenges we need to overcome with an ever evolving sandbox. To get ahead of this we have implemented a seasonal leaderboard so you can run with the meta from each patch without having categories become unbeatable due to sandbox changes.

• Speed / Score Categories (Dungeons) - Both are implemented. Score runs are calculated by speed and have specific and strict rules to keep the category fair for everyone. This was agreed upon by moderators and other major score runners from the community.

• Levels - As time goes on we will be looking at levels that runners may be interested in and adding them to the site. Right now you have a select number of levels to choose from and are properly categorized under the levels tab or the dropdown at the top. We are wanting to add regular Dungeons to this category, but will have to find what you guys think, if this will be something popular to run.

• Updated Rules - With very little investment into the rules we had previously, we have taken the time to sit down and write some thorough rules. This is just a baseline set of rules that are straight forward to understand. We will continue to add rules to each category in the near future. There are category specific rules that are implemented and certain rules will change over time based on the meta of the game.

• New Verifiers & Moderators - To have a strong community we need to have strong support, we will be slowly filling in Verifiers to make sure runs are verified and accurate in a timely manner. As well as bring on Moderators to ensure that the boards are up to date, the discord is a safe place to be, and rules are being enforced fairly on SRC. We are still currently looking for more verifiers.

• Guides & Resources - This is a long term project, but one that will add to the new runner experience. Expect Guides that we put in discord to be shared here and Resources to make your running experience that much better.

• Old Runs Being Ported In - Parts of the community have done a great job tracking runs in their discord or on excel spreadsheets, so we will slowly be porting those over to SRC and contacting those runners to make their respective accounts. This is still a work in progress. If you have old runs from older seasons, please submit them.
