there is a new skip that has been discovered at the hospital that pretty much skip the finicky escort mission.

It was discovered by a player in the SDA forums by the name of AKheon.

I found the thread you're talking about. Doing the skip as done in the video does cause the area beyond that one "hell portal" to not spawn in, but I was able to figure out that the game's flag for spawning it in is for all obstacles in front of Joy to be clear. Do the finicky escort like normal until you move the orderly out of the way, then run ahead and perform the skip. It works, and it's still an abundant timesave. You don't get to skip manipulating the receptionist or the wonky camera and door bullshit with Joy, but you do get to skip her catching up to you at the hell portal, the dialogue that precedes her allowing you to possess her, the dialogue that happens as you cross the portal. It's still a good find.
