Every category's rules, except for Story Mode categories, have "Solo Challenge" noted in them. This is so that speedruns are not allowed to only set one of four wind speed categories as well as which teebox they use outside of the Rookie Course, and thus have to be able to do improvisation. This also disallows Miis by nature of the game, which are in a complete class of their own (Score Attack build = 344 yards with max control @ 14 points, Time Attack = 17 points off power and in speed instead abiding by the above build) on top of the aforementioned tee and wind speed settings.
