this is not a visual mod, this changes the game in a way that it simulates your second phase against Armstrong where you lose your weapon. it does not fully however simulate it, as you still keep blade mode and parries, but you lose most of your moves and gain new ones, as well as the fact that your damage is always relatively low. The blade mode and parries had to be kept else the game would break at some segments where you are forced in the vanilla version to use blade mode for instance to progress.
I made a run here which can be inspected.
I want to see this challenge/speedrun grow as a niche to begin with, so far I am the only runner since about 2 months ago. can we have a misc. category for it then ?
Hi, sorry for the delayed response, I wanted to wait to see if there were still any objections. The category has been added. I'd add your run to the leaderboards but it technically doesn't count as new game (it does not receive a tutorial prompt after the first fight in R01, for example. A new file that at least hasn't gotten that far is required.) Good luck on your runs!
Also, the timer starts at .91 due to the autostart, which presumably doesn't work on the modded version. You can undo this by turning off the autosplitter under edit splits and "Start Timer at" back to 0.

I want to thank you again, this is a great step to move towards the creation of this niche. I would like to add that I am not familiar with the splitter software, I did not try hard to deal with the timer issue, but now I know my way around it. thanks for the chance!
