Just wanted to check if the SNES mouse that comes with Mario Paint would be allowed on the leaderboards? Still technically original hardware.

I don't believe the game supports the SNES mouse, or at least I haven't been able to get it to work in any of the emulators I've tried. As for legality, (if it is supported) I'd think it would reduce accessibility and reduce skill in managing the crosshair in trash, and trivialize caves and ship.

Basically the game would play more like the original PC port, and I think none of us really want that.

I would like to see how the mouse works with the game before we make an actual offical decision on if to allow it or not. Since none of us have a snes mouse, I'd need to see a run or gameplay sample of you using the mouse so we can better identify if it gives an unfair advantage over a traditional controller.

I also didn't get the mouse to work on original hardware, in any configuration. It does work for Super Solitaire (which is why I bought it) so I know the hardware is not faulty, but obviously this game wasn't programmed to be compatible.

Looks like it won't be an issue for Math Blaster then.
