I was thinking of 2 new categories for the game. Maybe an "All Levels" run where all you have to do is do all 15 of the levels (Some Assaults through Fly Me to the Moon). Also, kinda weird, but maybe a "2 player any%" run could happen for the newer game? I played with my cousin and noticed when he warped to me he was a level higher than me. There are a lot of potential for both these categories and just wanted to bring it up.
How would "All Levels" work? If I remember correctly (I haven't played the game for a few months), that would basically be just normal any%. I do, however, think the 2 player any% for the newer game would be a great idea! I think the second one does indeed have potential. Pardon me if I am incorrect about the first category being useless, I am quite rusty on my knowledge of this game.
The normal any% is doing all 15 of the chapters, meaning doing extra side missions along with the levels put in there. I was thinking of just doing the levels in free play. There is a level leaderboard, but doing it all in one run would be better in my opinion. Hope this cleared things up.
I am up to add more categories if runs are done of them beforehand, that way there are not a bunch of categories without runners. As for Co-Op, I don't know why that hasn't been added yet so I will definitely add that.
There is a Freeplay RTA Category for all the special assignments (that is what the game calls levels), if that is what you are referring too. If it's playing the levels as if it's a normal any% run, which I'm guessing is what you are asking for, then perhaps the same rules from the Story IL category should apply. I'm kind of skeptical of how many players are going to do this since it's going to have both the classic any% category along side a similar sounding but trimmed-down category that you are proposing. And I don't see the regular Any% category going away anytime soon.
2 Player Any% should be a category. Only the remaster release is able of doing it, since the original WiiU release is single player only.
