Update regarding communication around leaderboard changes

See L4D1 note at bottom

Hello everyone,

Going forward, we will make a concerted effort to announce every leaderboard change both on the Discord server and in news posts like this one on speedrun.com, regardless of the significance of the change. In the past, we have been inconsistent in posting important rule changes on speedrun.com, which is an issue, because some of these changes were only known to those in the Discord server or those who meticulously read the rules every few weeks, which isn't exactly reasonable. The leaderboard changelog thread (although currently accurate/complete) has also been updated very infrequently in the past, which hasn't helped either.

From now on, all future updates will be made in news posts (as well as announced in the Discord server as usual), and the leaderboard changelog thread will now be retired.

If you aren't in the Discord server and thus don't know about some of the more recent changes, we suggest you read the changelog thread or reread the rules to be safe.

Note for L4D1: The changelog thread only covered changes which applied to both games or L4D2 only, nothing that was L4D1 exclusive. The only change in 2023 that was L4D1 specific pertained to the individual map (not individual campaign) leaderboards - the rules were updated to match the current timing standard (the demo parser), and changelevel erroneously being listed as allowed (despite being formally banned at the start of 2022) was corrected.

Minor rule changes/clarifications

Hey everyone, some minor changes to the rules - solely to clarify things/change wording, no rules actually "changed" (at least not in any way that will be relevant to 99.9% of people):
