Hey there. I've been doing a little pet project, and run into a snag. Basically, is there any way to get into the Hypernova sections without actually collecting the Hypernova ability? Failing that, is there any way to get extra horizontal distance/vertical height with Hypernova, but without flying/hovering?
Through my attempts at a minimum jump run of KTD I've failed at completing either of you questions. However, you may be able to cut a few of the jumps/hovers by doing a damage boost from an enemy if possible
Yeah I've been looking through so glitch videos for KTD and so far nothing has helped me find anyway to skip the HyperNova Plant
I suppose I didn't explain what I was trying to do very well.
I'm trying to beat the game without hovering/flying. I've been using moves like the Beetle or Sword up+B to get height, but obviously this is impossible with Hypernova. Right now, I'm in the 2-2 Hypernova section, right before the first laser block, and all of the walls are too high to jump up- I'm basically softlocked.
I realize this isn't technically speedrunning, but I figured you guys would probably know the most about the game out of anyone. Thanks for the speedy replies, though.
Through all of my hoverless/jumpless testing, I've never been able to clear the 2-2 area without jumping and or hovering sadly. It may be a good idea to join the Kirby Speedrunning Discord to see if you can find any additional he there though
