No Starworld is easier than All Castles, I'd say. So probably better than that if you're just starting out, though there's not a lot in it
Short answer: yes
Longer answer: Check out this thread for more info https://www.speedrun.com/smw/thread/8w7yc
As far as I'm aware, there's no known consistent setup for it on Switch
Looks like the link on the sidebar no longer exists. This one should though https://discord.gg/uzuQaXU
I'll update the one on the sidebar to match this
Edit: Forgot I'm no longer a mod here lol, I'll get someone else to do it
I don't think we want to have too many categories which will only be a couple minutes long
Can't really offer an explanation without seeing a video of what happened unfortunately, but from your post I'm assuming you weren't recording
It's less because it's arbitrary and more because the category is less than 1 level
@xXJulianbrito_YTXx3 nah, it's just a frame-perfect trick. Only need to do one kind of jump tho
jumping off a switch in the switch palace for example
It's specifically the switch palace switch. Jumping off of a normal P-Switch is referred to as a 'P-Switch jump'
If pigeon is right, then that emulator should be fine. I've not heard much about it though so I'd recommend using one of the ones mentioned in Frieze's post (start of thread) if you can
@xXJulianbrito_YTXx3 I always double-check the timing of runs. In your video you started your timer late and ended it early, so your submitted time was too low and I corrected it
dude chill. You submitted your run yesterday, it'll get verified when it gets verified. Average wait-time on this site is 3 weeks, we tend to be slightly under that
as for the links on my profile, they're an option so I felt like adding them
wrt version differences, @Snieggers98 I'd recommend playing on emulator to use an NTSC version if you're planning on getting the JP version instead of using the PAL one on console. Emulator would introduce some input latency but strats would be the same, whereas the physics difference on PAL changes stuff way more (that's what I had to do myself until I got the JP cart)
Runs will be verified when we get around to it; we go through them in roughly the order they're submitted. We've been getting a lot more submissions than usual lately (probably because of COVID), so there's going to be a longer wait time than usual.
