KB Lag

Killbrick lag has become rarer and rarer over time. Towers such as ToIE, ToFaF, ToOH (glitchless), ToAT and more are completely unrunnable without this kb lag. The extent of kb lag required also varies greatly. ToAT is a tower that only requires a small amount of kb lag to pass through without stopping, whereas ToFaF kb lag must be extreme in order to make it through the various kb heavy floors without stopping to heal. Is it worth invalidating all world record runs that gain an unfair advantage from kb lag? This will only include runs that would certainly have died had normal kb damage been taken.

I believe they should either make a new category for tower speedruns called kb lag or they should put each speedrun that used kb lag in the unpatched glitches category.

@hey11543 I suppose the main issue here is that it's a server based glitch and not one that the player can freely perform. I'm not against the idea of making it its own category, but it's not applicable to that many towers, so it would only be a sub-category. It would also be hard to identify which towers we need the sub-category for since any tower with a moderate amount of killbricks could be deemed kb lag abusable. It seems easier to just ban kb lag entirely. Much like the lag lower-end PC users get when restarting a tower (which can be abused in SoUC), not all players can benefit from this. I think killbrick lag should be treated the same, it's a lot easier to find a server without it than with it, and just have it banned altogether to keep things the most fair.

@hey11543 the problem is where do you draw the line on when the kb lag is "too bad"?

@xe Maxdragonsoul already said it shoud be drawn in cases where you Obviously would have died(and you took advantage of the kill brick lag) i think that makes sense. Like if you jumped on a killbrick like 40 times in a row you need killbrick lag for that yu cant jus do that normally

@hey11543 I don't think it's serious enough to warrant a new category but it's still an unfair advantage whgether its in glitches or not so that wouldnt work

yeah that makes more sense we could make a legacy category for it if that works

Idk i;d rather jus reject the runs . this only affects like <20 towers citation needed
