@Doggo15 I know that other categories use beds too, but have you ever watched an RSG co-op run? They actually get prepared with gear and bows and stuff and break crystals before the dragon perches. Also I'm not seeing how cool it really could be. In co-op RSG you could have 1 person getting blaze rods while the other gets ender pearls, but in SSG the portal has all 12 eyes in it already. Of course it could help optimize certain things such as in 1.14 when 1 person builds the portal and the other loots the village but I feel like in most cases it will just be slower and more complicated. RSG is just so much more capable of more than 1 player as there's no specific route, you don't just know where the portal is, you have to figure out time saves as you go and not plan them, you have to find a fortress, etc. There are just so many times they will get in each others' way. This is why I think SSG co-op is a bad idea and shouldn't be added.
Why? In RSG co-op you have 2 people gathering stuff in order to get to the end, and once there can both deal damage to the dragon and destroy crystals. In SSG, the end portal is already completed and there is no need to destroy crystals or use a bow, since all you should have is beds and some blocks. SSG co-op would essentially just be 2 people getting in each others way and SSG 1 player would actually be faster.
@KingLavaCactus The problem with regular programmer art is it just uses 1.13 textures, and since so much has changed since then, it just looks off. For example, you have the classic netherrack next to the other newer types of netherrack (such as having gold in it) and it doesn't sync and looks really bad. I actually like the resource pack @Spylee01 sent as I tried it out myself and its fine. It doesn't break any rules. In fact, it fixes model bugs caused by regular Programmer Art.
Everything seems to check out with me. Just to be safe though, make sure it doesn't modify the crosshair or have low fire.
Honestly though imagine buying a game that you can't run without an external mod.
Here's a tip, frames don't actually matter. Most people have 60hz monitors meaning the max FPS your screen can even display is 60. Having the client or mod that gets you 300 fps is completely pointless because I've only met one person online ever who had a 340hz monitor. I cap my minecraft FPS to my monitor's refresh rate (which I believe is also known as vsync) that way I'm not putting more work on my PC. Plus, I don't think YouTube will display over 60 FPS, and if your PC is really that bad the run could be exported in 30 frames. Honestly just try capping your FPS, and using sodium. Or, you know, run pre 1.16 so you can use optifine.
you can also use window capture in obs to get livesplit on top
yeah if you want pvp stuff lunar is pretty good for that and if you wanna speedrun things i recommend sodium or if its pre 1.16 optifine
@Astronomiez The creator of blc, MasterGberry groomed a 15 year old girl and is still manipulating her to this day. (i think shes 19 now) and has admitted to doing it on twitter, but defends his actions because it's legal in her country. Tenebrous also groomed a youtuber known as demoned and is a staff member of badlion. I would recommend watching this video about it and you may notice how many people switched to Lunar after the whole shit storm happened. The only reason I could imagine people still use badlion is because they are unaware or ignorant.
Also, it has loads of mods and stuff which affect the game such as optifine and so it is banned from speedruns. With those 2 reasons I'm sure you don't wanna use BLC
The reason it looks different from yours is most likely because the minecraft java launcher has looked different over the years. just go to installations and create new, and then select the version you want.
also @LukeSaward it's not worth it getting into a gender debate over minecraft speedrunning.
@KilleDragon ok aristotle i will shoot you w my nerf gun now
Use sodium. Badlion gives several unfair advantages and is heavily modified.
Also, the owner and many of its staff members are pedos, so I wouldn't support that client at all.
Wdym how do you calculate real time? Set up a timer.
If you're talking about when you start and end your splits, start upon loading into the world and end upon jumping into the end credits.
And the difference between in game time and real time is that one is in game and the other is in real time.
i reload a nerf gun to start my split, and then when i beat the enderdragon and end my split, i shoot the nerf gun
i use mouse buttons
@SuaV0 it most likely would never happen, and would definitely get declined as there are ways to fake a rsg run, even on livestream. i mean unless you were super trusted member of the community and had streamed it using a webcam pointed at your monitor, you would most likely have to reset.
if it does happen though, you should either reset or just play through the run
